"Orphanage Playground has Started"

 

Tinkuy volunteers have recently begun the construction of a new playground project at the Aldea Casa Hogar Fransesca Mayer. The play structure will have 2 covered playhouses, a connecting bridge, slide, fire pole, cargo climbing net, stairs, ladder, swings, sitting benches, and chalk boards. The principal structure will be erected out of steel and the floors and rails will be made out of wood. Much like the water reclamation project, the playground project was thought of, funded, designed, and managed by Tinkuy Peru volunteers. This play structure is important because the girls at the Fransesca Mayer live in rural Huancayo and have no place to play. It will be good for their mentality and self esteem to have this area to have a little fun.
