Goals

 

We are really starting to see some of the effects of our work here in Peru. We are happy to have had the opportunity to have this experience and we are looking forward to completing our mission here in Peru. Please see our goals below.

 

Tinkuy Peru Volunteer Program:

1. Start a satellite program in agricultural communities.
2. Include future Tinkuy Peru volunteers in the Andean Outreach Program that will fund specific improvement and aid projects in the Peruvian Andes.

 

 

The New Andean School for English:

1. Provide more information to volunteers and local people about the school.
2. Create lesson plans and exams that are consistent with the curriculum. Grade the student’s performance and review progress with the parents.
3. Get our donated computers up and running in the school program once Tinkuy Peru has a secure location for them.

 

The Aldea del Rosario Orphanage:

1. Paint the installed columns for the cisterns so they are more child friendly.
2. Paint murals on the outside of the bunk house.
3. Improve the hygiene and cleanliness of the living conditions for the orphans.
4. Organize and implement alternate activities, other than working with the children, to help the orphanage.
5. Establish a career counseling program for kids who are approaching 18 years.

 

The Aldea del Fransesca Mayer Orphanage:

1 . Determine how to help subsidize the cost of cooking gas each month.
2 . Have a live guitar show for the kids.
3 . Fix the walls and roof of the existing house.
4 . Help raise funds for the new housing project for the orphans.
5 . Develop a cooking/baking program.

 

 

Andean Outreach Program (A.O.P.): Programa Andina Ayuda

1. Start a small organization in the US whose goal is to raise money and have funds available for future volunteers who can run improvement and aid projects for the poor people of the Peruvian Andes.
2. This organization will fund volunteer projects not volunteer organizations.
3. Create a beta version website that describes this organization, accepts donations, and accepts grant applications.
4. Obtain 501(c)3 non-for-profit status in the US in 1-2 years.

 

 

Personal Goals:
1. Film and edit the remainder of our documentary film.
2. Follow through on all of the above goals before our departure.
3. Figure out what we are going to do when we return to the US!
