Our first Bake Sale was a success!! We sold cookies and cupcakes at the Andersonville Midsommer fest and we sold out! Our slogan was "cookies and cupcakes for a cause". Most of the patrons asked Alison if she would ever open a bakery. We'll just have to see......

We had our second Bake Sale with the same concept as the first, "cookies and cupcakes for a cause". We sold baked goods at Montrose beach in Chicago on Father's Day and it was another success. The best part of the day was when we were approached by a barefoot man who had claimed to have learned spanish in 3 hours and then proceeded to give us a spanish lesson.

Our third Bake Sale went very well. We set up at Montrose Dog Beach and sold cookies as well as doggy biscuits. We had some stiff competition with the street vendors but we almost sold out. Thanks to Underdogg dog boutique for their doggy treat donations.

This, our fourth Bake Sale, was by far our biggest success. We sold our standard fare of cookies, rice crispy treats, and cupcakes. We also gave out balloons and handed out brochures for our web site. We sold out of everything and beat the 4th of July rain. A special thanks to Party City for their donation of the balloons. Terry sang almost the entire star spangled banner with helium from one of the balloons.

Our bar party on our last day of work was a huge success. We had around 70 people participate with donations and drinks. Thanks to all of those who attended. Friends Tony Halawith and Chris Lambert designed and sold shirts at the event and were a huge seller. A special thanks to Tony and Chris for the cool shirts. In all, we raised $1,400 of which %30 will be donated to the American Red Cross to aid Hurricane Katrina Victims.
